built-in ‘censor’ effect bug
I ran across a bug in the built-in FCPX ‘censor’ effect when applied near the edge of the frame. It looks like if the plugin wouldn’t draw a full ‘giant pixel’ because it would extend beyond the edge of the frame, then it doesn’t draw one. This leaves whatever would have been covered by that pixel visible. Thus, if you quickly pan onto or off of someone’s face, you actually get a visually pretty good impression of the ‘censored’ face. Best workaround I’ve got so far is scaling up the frame to ~110% to run the uncensored bit off the edge. I’d love an alternative that lets me keep the whole frame, any suggestions?
