Building website with Encore
Posted by Bill Morris on February 8, 2011 at 2:01 pmDoes anyone have experience with building their webpages by exporting flash files with Encore? It seems like a pretty easy way to build a website with reasonable functionality–almost too easy.
Thoughts? Experiences?

February 10, 2011 at 12:00 pmWell, the answer would be no. Use a web design tool. Besides, Encore DVD to Flash converter does not work properly.

February 19, 2011 at 8:21 amI find that in CS5 the flash converter works just fine.
It’s very easy to show your DVD menu and stuff over the net. The last couple of weeks I do I all the time. THe person who has the “veto” right lives far away and sending a flash of the DVD as website is the quickest way for comments.

March 19, 2011 at 2:01 pmHi Christophe,
This may be a silly question, but would you be able to say how you did that? I’ve been trying to do that. I may be expecting too much from it. But I wanted to send this dvd menu I created to some people but am not sure how I can do it. Would you mind saying how you’ve done it? please?Thank you

March 19, 2011 at 4:42 pmI haven’t tried it yet. I didn’t like the parameter limitations. But let me know how it works for you if you try, please.

March 21, 2011 at 9:11 pmHi Rachel
There are no silly question’s xD. Believe me, I know.
It was quite simple, I exported the DVD menu to a flash file, in the building option. Then I had something like this:

The folder where all this is saved, I compressed to sent via wetranfer and if you open the index on a mac or pc it will open you browser and load the menu and even the movies behind the buttons. Quite handy.
Now I uploaded it to my host, and on the website I made a iFrame to load the index.html.
I will post the site as soon as it’s online. Then you can see.Kind regards.
