Have both the 32bit and 64bit installed on Win7 x64.

When I import my HDV files into a project running the 64bit version, Peak Building only gets about 25% of the way through and then quickly jumps to the end. In the timeline, all audio stops about 25% through the hour long video.

I do not have this problem with the 32bit version.

Any ideas? Is there any major advantage to using 64bit over 32bit?

    Thanks!

Delete your .sfk files (they should be in the same directory as your M2T files. This will force Vegas to rebuild your peaks when you open that project again. Now, open it in 64 bit first and let it build the peaks. It may have just been a quirk as mine builds peaks just fine.

The advantage to Vegas 64 is that you are not restricted to ~3gigs of ram like you are for the 32 bit version (like all 32 bit software). You can have as much as your system can handle and it will use it. This is good for long projects or projects that are memory intensive.

The downside is that your 32 bit only fx will not work in the 64 bit version and Cinescore will not work as a plugin in the 64 bit version.
