    Hi

I’m really struggling to get into building a site I’ve designed for a friend. I’ve had a look around for web building software eg: RapidWeaver, WordPress etc but not having much luck as my design isn’t particularly standard to the templates. I understand folks are busy but if anyone could help me out and just get me started, I’d really appreciate it. My design is basically a bookshelf and the text/links/pictures etc sit on the shelving, it’s quite simple really, so I guess I’m just looking for a really flexible and easy piece of software, not one which is strict on following templates or expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like Dreamweaver but if you’re trying to keep cost down you might Google:

My first website was built using notepad – can’t get much cheaper than that but if you’re coming from a design angle you want a WYSIWYG of some type. There’s some free ones out there but in the end you’ll get what you pay for.
