I’ve tried my best to re-create some sort of news intro like NBC Nightly News but I haven’t been able to get it even close. I’ve looked high and low as well, nothing online on how anyone has ever built one. I did find someone who recreated his own but left no tips on how he made it – which is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaJSp2Az_ek

I’m pretty new to after effects but I’ve worked with it for a few months. What I’m shooting for is any tips or instruction that could lead me to be able to create an Intro just like that or similar, for my schools broadcast program.

    I’d appreciate any help!

Here’s what the actual NBC Nightly news intro looks like which begins at about 38 seconds:

What have you managed to do so far?

To get started, you’ll have to get a bunch of pictures and lay them out in 3D space and then animate a camera to have them fly past. Then animated each picture composition on with a linear wipe. Then it’s just a matter of adding accentuating things.
