    Hi guys.

I’m working on to get a new mac for my company and I’m looking onto different configurations to get the best possible beast….

I have a few questions but first I would like to show you the conf I come out with.

    Mac Pro 2.66 12 cores
    32gb RAM
2x 240 SSD acting as bootable drives for Lion and Mountain Lion
    4x 3TB HDD
GTX 680 (Would it work on Mac?… I have research and they said it won’t in Lion but it might work in Mountain Lion? Is this true?)
    Quadro K5000 for mac
    HBA 680 for Quantum LTO5
remaining PCI will be used for many variables depending on the job (Esata, Qio, RAID card, etc)
    2x Eizo Flexscan 2462

Please let me know if I’m going to have problems with the GTX 680 and also what do you think about the quadro K5000? has anybody tried it out?

    Thanks

    Hi Sasha

I’m not aware of the “other forum”, sorry about that!!

About the conf guide I have to say that I have seen it and the recommendations they do for cards does not include any of the cards I talking about… I suppose because they are so new on the market and that is why I’m making this question about the compatibility of both of them… If you recommend me another forum in where I can make this question it would be really appreciate it!!

    Thanks

I can’t say for certain, but I don’t believe that the Mac Pro can power 2 GFX cards of that size… and there will absolutely be heat issues w/ 2 double width cards.

Hi do you have the 4GB MSI with 2 6pin? Also did you do some benchmark how fast it is? Thanks.
