    Hello,
I just saw the tutorials about creating a cube world and I must say WOW what an idea. I will definitely try to master that. Was was wondering however if it was possible to take it a step further. Is it possible to create a cube world you can walk through. Maybe by placing several cubes side by side and making a larger cube like a Rubik cube (but only three or more cubes in a row). Then setting the camera to walk through Like walking down the street.

Great to hear you enjoyed the tutorial – and that you’re looking for ways to build on it.

Although I haven’t tested it myself, I’m thinking it would be possible to do what you’re asking but the results will depend greatly on the specifics of images that you’re using.

In an ideal situation, yes, I think it will work beautifully IF…

    1. your images are from the same location and shot within line-of-sight with each other.

    2. each image has a distinct and obvious place to mask your opening from one “world” to the next, i.e. a gate, door, or archway.

    3. You do the transition relatively quickly. The more you linger near the edges of your cube, especially if you’re rotating the camera, the more obvious it will become that we’re playing a visual trick.

But… sounds like a cool idea. I’d say go for it!

Sweet!!!!! I was thinking of having like a walk on a street. I figure to take this would be pretty easy. I would just take a 360 degree panorama move some distance ahead (trying to keep in a straight line) and take another 36 panorama and repeating until I needed. Or another option is doing a 360 panorama of a ballroom and having a 360 just outside the door so it looks like your walking out the door and etc…. The ideas are just coming along. I want to try and integrated into my wedding photography so I can make a more animated slide show more movie like. I think that would be amazing. I just need to learn more about After Effects and how to use it. I think ill start at the basics first but ill be shooting my first 360 panorama this weekend. If you think of a way to make the walk through happen can you please try a tutorial for it? That would be great.

Also if its not much to ask, Is there a tutorial on how to make an animated slide show in after Effects? Preferably without pluggins or at least not really expensive ones.
