build an image up in strips
Hi
I am trying to replicate a tapestry being woven onto the screen so that the image builds up in thin strips. I haven’t got my head round expressions so I was going do this by animating a few hundred masks but does anyone know an easier way to do this

Not sure this would help but there is a “old tv” effect that allows you to control a “venetian blind” effect that might be useful. It slices an image into horizontal layers like an old tv.

You could try a combination of Venetian Blinds, masking and maybe Card Dance.
