buggy piece of junk
Posted by Aaron Neitz on September 28, 2005 at 1:57 amWhy? WHY!!!!!! it’s the little things in FCP that keep it from being top notch. Like if you have a nest, and timecode overlays on, it will show you a timecode in NDF in the overlay, but if you matchframe back to the nest which was DF, then it’s a different timecode.

September 28, 2005 at 3:15 amGotta say… Not the best way to start off. Others have taken this approach and it never really worked for them either.

September 28, 2005 at 4:37 amI work on an Avid every day, and there are MANY times I want to take my boot to it.
Each has issues…

September 28, 2005 at 4:17 pmFCP works flawlessly for me. Perhaps there’s a problem with your workflow?

September 30, 2005 at 3:47 amI’m not going to be hard on the software but I think it’s far from flawless. I use it everyday too and there’s not a day when I have to create a work around for something. Like when exporting a movie using QT conversion ( because compressor can’t connect to background process/ I had it working for a week and stopped.) FCP will say that the movie isn’t rendered when it is clearly rendered.
I wish it was a little more solid.
I do love the program.
