BUG? Remapping “Zoom In” and “Zoom Out” changes zoom behavior

Michael – I cannot replicate this on my system. I have zoom mapped to the slash and asterisk keys on my numeric keypad and it works as it’s supposed to.

Thank you Nick. I just mapped Zoom In/Zoom Out to the Asterisk and Slash to test that it and it works as expected. This leads me to believe it’s not an issue with remapping Zoom In/Zoom Out, but an issue with mapping it to the Up and Down arrows.

Do you mind mapping Zoom In/Out to Up/Down arrow to test it?

I think the up and down keys are still looking at the next and previous edit commands as well as your added zoom commands.

It’s definitely doing something. I’m sending them a bug report. I’ve mapped Zoom In/Out to multiple keys at this point and all of them work just fine, except for Up and Down.

I have up/down mapped to the clip height (chicklet view through waveform only view) and it doesn’t have any issues.

UPDATE: The bug still exists in FCPX 10.3. Remapping Zoom In/Out to the Up/Down arrow results in erratic zoom behavior.
