    Can anyone verify this?

Razor Blade/Add Edit a clip. Select 1st clip and “Make Independent”, then select 2nd half and “Make Independent” again. The 2nd half should will NOT become independent. The 2 halves have to be physically separated for the 2nd half to be independent.

I was able to replicate this on 2 machines here.

    Dual G5 2.3, OS 10.4.8, FCP 5.1.2, QT 7.1.3

    How bout you guys?

    I’m seeing the same behavior.

I’m seeing that too, and then some. Once you razor a clip, this seems to happen on whichever is the second piece you attempt to make independent second. The first one seems to always work fine.

I know I’d settle for “Apple fixing the bug in a short time.”
