Bug fixes / New features in 10.0.2?
Posted by Tapio Haaja on November 16, 2011 at 9:50 pmOkay,
version 10.0.2 is out and officially Apple says following things are fixed.
• Fixes an issue where a title may revert to the default font after restarting Final Cut Pro X
• Resolves an issue that could cause files recorded with certain third-party mobile devices to play back incorrectly
• Addresses a stability issue caused by changing the start time on a Compound clipBut I’m sure there are more things fixed or maybe even some little features added. Who knows. So I hope people add all the fixes and new things they can find to this thread.

November 17, 2011 at 12:50 amWell,
None of the “official” Apple pages I can find show any indication of this at all.
And as we know, Apple does these updates via the APP store, not published public links.
Plus every link I see on a google search under 10.0.2 leads to Warez or software crack sites overseas.
Bit suspicious, methinks.

November 17, 2011 at 4:54 amFantastic. They have fixed the time line zooming BUG. Maybe my cursing level will start to dwindle a bit now.

November 17, 2011 at 8:08 amIt seems that updates are released different times in Mac App Store based on timezone (I’m in Finland). One thing I hope this update fixes is problems with 3rd party plug-ins so Red Giant Software can finally publish their great Magic Bullet Looks. November 17, 2011 at 3:27 pmOne thing I found with the update:
when using the ‘open copy in motion’ for an effect it now tells me that I’ve to buy Motion 5 from the app store. Would be okay if I don’t own it, but I already bought it.
Maybe it’s my machine – but if anybody else had the same experience let me know so I can file a bug.Andreas

November 17, 2011 at 5:32 pmAndres,
Could it be a simple reference issue between the older ID info in Motion and the newly updated ID info for your upgraded X?”
Did you try a simple “close everything and reopen them to refresh the finder links between them?”
Just trying to help.

November 17, 2011 at 7:08 pmThe zooming bug is still on 10.02 for me. Try clicking onto different parts of you timeline in all of the magnifications. Why is this crap still happening??
Many thanks,
Boris J.

November 17, 2011 at 8:02 pmFor me, if I zoom right out of the project, then zoom in four times with cmd+, then try clicking at different points on the timeline, the CTI magically disappears.
Is this not happening for anyone else?
Very happy to see the title bug fixed though.
Many thanks,
Boris J.
