I am looking at the LH900 to be my new field monitor to take me from Betacam (D30) to the HVX200.
The specs on the 900 say it will take a composite signal (ok for my Betacam), and that there is an SDI HD in. It also mentions a component in, is that also an HD self sensing input? Will I be able to monitor a HD output from a HVX200 on a LH900 (without a SDI converter)?

Please help clarify the input capability of the LH900 and the output capability of the HVX200.

    Thanks,

    Jim,

Yes the BT LH900 will accept SDI, Composite, Component HD (self sensing 720p, 1080p, 1080i), Component SD, HD SDI (self sensing, 720p, 1080p, 1080i). The component HD will be perfect for the HVX200.

And By the way the same input capabilities will be true for the BT-LH1700 which will be hitting the street this Summer if you want something larger.

    Anything with 16:9 AR?
I’d feel a bit funny to spend top dollars to a brand new hd monitor that has 4:3 AR…
