I recently had to reinstall my OS on my mac. Then I noticed my Time Machine backup was corrupt. No biggie, I backed everything up to LTO-5 tapes. Only problem is I didn’t backup the BRU PE environment that lives here – /Library/Application Support/BRU PE/. I know really stupid.

The tapes that I have backed up already are identifiable but not restorable. When I try to restore from a tape BRU PE says,”These tapes are blank or they don’t have BRU data on them.”

Are these tapes still restorable? What are my options?

    Thanks.

The tapes are always restorable, but you don’t mention which version of BRU PE you are using.

As always, I recommend starting with our support team – that’s what they are there for. Open a ticket at https://support.bru.com or give a call to +1 480-505-1814.

    Thanks for the response Tim.
I panicked and posted to the forum. After I calmed down I did a search, I found your suggestion of contacting the support team elsewhere. I contacted the support team and they were amazingly helpful. Within 5 minutes I was confident my data was safe. With the helpful apps bundled in with BRU PE, I had no problem rebuilding my storage environment.

Much love to the TOLIS Group and their customer support. Thank you so much.
