HI,
I recently bought a BRU PR bundle that included a 24 tape library and dual lto7 tape drives. I have been reading thru the manual but haven’t found clear information on how to do the kind of operations i need to do.
I need to do daily backups of several 3-4TB folders to LTO6 & run a verify. The folder is big enough to warrant spanning it across two tapes PLUS I need an exact copy of this folder laid down to another set of LTO6s (doubler mode I assume) Not only that, I need to schedule several of this backups so the system can backup different folders to tape without someone having to trigger the backup operation.
How do I go about this? The doulber mode button only apperas on the quickview.
The kind of workflow I would like is to tell the system:
1) Select folder to backup
2) tell it to which slots I want it backed up to
3) make sure its going to run it on doubler mode
4) enable verification pass
5) make sure it will swap between tapes for writing and verifying when the data cant fit on a single lto6.
6) get the system to do multiple jobs, like in a queue.-Best
