    Hey folks:

We have 100s of bins with very lengthy clip names, and we need to grab a screen capture of the browser to print. However, the browser only allows you to make the name-column a certain width, and hence we aren’t able to see all our clip names. Does anyone know how to make the name-column as wide as one needs?

    Thanks!

Export your bins out as a tab delineated file and bring into Excel. You can then adjust columns and print. I don’t know of anyway to expand column width.

I suppose the maximum width is determined by how many other columns you have in the bin. Delete all the other columns, then just grab the top right of the name column and drag it to the right.

Why FCP can’t print a bin is so lame. Exporting to excel isn’t great either. For one, you need excel. And it doesn’t export thumbnails.

Use Grab to capture and print the window. It’s a stupid workaround.

Do you need Column View or can you use Large Icon View? The Name field is HUGE in icon view.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
