I have clips in my fcp browser that are connected to 23.98 capture media, whose vid rate is shown as 29.97. How is this possible?

I understand the camera, but now why the same project file acts differently on two machines. On the PowerMac the browser clips are 23.98, on the laptop using the same project and source files, the clips are 29.97. Although the same, I’m going to try and clean up the clip using “Conform” in Cinema Tools.

Thanks to the reference, but since it is my thread I was familiar with it. Those problems were easily solved by Kevin and believe it or not, he did it without single insult, cow, chicken or farm analogy.

As a courtesy for those who may have a similar problem, the problem was solved by opening the source clip in Cinema Tools and hitting the “Conform” button.
