Not sure if this is the right forum to place this question, but definitely part of it has to do with it.
We have a bunch of little clips of Broll we use constantly. At this point it exceed the amount of storage a human brain can bare, therefore we’re in search of a system that will allow us to run keyword searches (locally or remotely), see the preview (locally or remotely) and be able to retrieve the clip (locally or remotely)
Will appreciate good education about whatever is out there in the market, cheap options and high end ones. I never dealt with this before.
I’m also guessing storage and Set-Up is involved here.
    Thank you in advance!
    Regards,

    Hi Amos,

MediaSilo can manage and organize your B-Roll through tagging and search terms. The benefits are that any of your producers or clients basically from anywhere can look for content (any computer or mobile device) and comment on it or rate it. But MediaSilo by itself is a Proxy based workflow, so online you get a flash or h.264 version, which you can download (with permission), but may not be the full resolution copy you want.

If there is Final Cut Server integration we have a product called “Edit request” where you can look at the proxy, mark an in and out point of the content you want, then choose the codec you want delivered, from there MediaSilo contacts Final Cut Server, your request is processed in Compressor and delivered to the user making the request. This may work for your needs.

Please feel free to contact me at any time of you have questions about MediaSilo and ways we can help you make your B-Roll library accessible and useable by everyone.

    Best,
    Erik
