    Hi,

Thanks for the kind well wishing. It is the sort of thing that can happen when you stop paying complete attention. I understand why in all the”mob” movies where the mob guy promises to break their knee caps if they don’t hold up their end of the bargain, this is as purely painful as it gets. It will be a long recovery and I won’t be able to drive for 6-8 weeks. But this too will pass, the bummer was it was during Sundance and I spent Sundance in the LDS Hospital.

But I am alive and live to tell about it. Thank God.

    Best all, be careful,

    Jan

Ah that’s perfect- you’ll be recovered just in time for NAB. 🙂 Glad you are in good spirits. The world is a better place with you in it.

I am pulling for the motorized scooter/wheelchair like David O’Keley had last year. 😉

    Thanks Noah.

    Hi Jan,

I just popped my head up after a long day of pushing hard to get more of the magazine done and to get today’s newsletter out. I logged in to find out what has happened to you and am saddened. You are a great person, Jan, and I am grateful to know you.

Get better, girl, and we’ll see you at NAB.

    The best always,

    Ron

    Ouch,

    Jan,

I just came through a long recover from a torn ACL so I know what it is like to deal with the knee stuff. I hope you recover quickly and get all the mobility back.

Take good care of yourself. I drank a lot of raw carrot juice and took glucosamine with vitamin C.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery are with you.

    David

    Jan,

Get well soon! Since you’ve been gone, the masses have been restless- only you can calm the savage hordes of techno nerds on all the message boards.

joking aside, I found myself in a similar situation about a year ago- ended up having major back surgery for a spinal cord growth that was going to paralyze me- sixteen weeks of PT and one year later and Im not only walking again, but stronger than ever.
