I just tested 2.0 and it still does not support the Broadcast Wave format. This is very disappointing because we still can’t sync our audio to timecode.
I hope this is fixed soon.

I thought I read something about BWF support. Maybe it was for the new release of Audition.

It doesn’t do much good in Audition for syncing video to audio in Premiere with timecode.

True. But at least you can open the BWF somewhere. Was that possible before?

Yes, Avid and Pro-tools can do this.
Also this little application can do lots of things
    https://www.bwfwidget.com/
If you want to download a sample BWF go here
    https://www.sr.se/utveckling/tu/bwf/

Most film transfer companies can also as they sync the BWFs to film transfers for a price. It would be a saving and be more convenient to do this in Premiere. Then if you could lock the wave to the video track this would be the ultimate.

    Hi all

    just to clarify:
You could *open* BWFs at least in Audition 1.5. Media
Player could do it as well, so I expect all WAV enabled
apps to work. However, this is for open/edit only, you
won’t get the cool features like timecode sync this way.
But if all you want to do is work with them like with
normal WAVs it should work OK.

There is no problem using them as normal wavs
My problem is that we shoot a lot of content using double system sound. Betacam, 35mm, etc and use the Sound Design recorder for the sound. Without the ability to read TC from the wavs it makes it difficult to sync video and audio.
