  Broadcast Safe

  It has been a while since the topic of broadcast safe was brought up. Is there a dependable way using Resolve 9 to send out rock solid broadcast safe deliverables? I usually get some trace highlights and shadows that I see on my hardware scopes. Not a lot but enough that it make me nervous to send it without additional processing like a legalizer. I am trying to avoid using a hardware legalizer especially in situations where spots are going to a service like DG FastChannel.

  For a while now I have been taking the added step of round tripping to final cut and then sending that final timeline to Apple Color and checking the Broadcast safe option. If seems to work very well. I would like to eliminate that step and Resolve should be able to do this well and easily.

  What tricks could I use that would do this luma and chroma limiting well? Is there a LUT out there that would do this?
