DaVinci Resolve plays great in my Broadcast Monitor. However, if I jump to another program such as After Effects Resolve stays on my monitor and won’t share. Adobe Premiere does the same thing but has a setting that makes it so it no longer uses the monitor when PPro is hidden. I’m assuming Resolve is the same way. How to I get it to share the broadcast monitor with other applications?

    You close the app.

What I do all the time is go to Media then file/capture. It takes about 10 seconds then in my case a message pops up letting me know “there is no valid input signal detected”. I can then use my monitor with FCP.

That really sucks! That seems like something that would be easy to program.

    I’ll give it a try.

    Boris,
Not sure if I did something wrong but that just makes my broadcast monitor blue and then none of my other programs will show up in it.

I’ve got a DeckLink SDI connected to an FSI monitor and that does the trick every time. Not sure why its not happening on your side, sorry.
