    Howdy Moo-cowers,

Hi guys and gals I am writing to gather some feedback and intel regarding TV commercials being delivered to our company.(North and South America Only Please)

I work for a large commercial delivery company throughout Australia, England, Europe and certain areas throughout the world, as we deal in PAL both HD and SD we are now receiving material with the lovely flavor of NTSC, our current delivery system is a MPEG 2 – 422 @ 50i – we also receive for HD and SD.
    ProResHQ

Recently I was developing a workflow regarding AVID, FCP and various compression technologies, coming from a 20 years Post Production and TV background this question isn’t regarding what we will send to the Broadcasters, that intel is received and locked in – this is a general “what do the troops want to deliver”

    1. So for COmmercial Delivery what would be the most tailored file format for you to send ?
    2. How many HD Commercials do you produce – HD 1920×1080, 1280×720
    3. What headaches do you current have with suppliers ?
    4. SD – Upper or Lower Field ?
    5. HD – Upper or Lower Field ?

Thanks guys and gals as I said any info would help us in creating a product that listens to the market – not dictate it ….

I am interested in the feedback to this thread. I have a client interested in delivering HD spots to numerous local TV stations around the Midwest, various network affiliates and independents. It appears each station has its own need; HDCam, HD Tape and/or data files. Am I missing something simple?
