broadcast color
I worked in a post production facility, doing a TVC commercial. During the presentation, the commercial quality was beautiful and it was clean. A few days later I saw the commercial aired. and to my surprise, the TVC, look really bad. The color darken, quality became poor. I don’t know if where we got it wrong. I knew on dub release I check the betacam materials, Everything look as it should.
I was just wondering if I should calibrate our monitor?. If so what are the steps in calibrating, a presentation monitor for broadcast quality, and how to have that “what you see in the presentation is what you get quality”.
Here are our spec for our machine.

Are you talking about calibrating your broadcast monitor or computer monitor? Here is an article that will show you how to calibrate your broadcast monitor.
