Hi there, hope someone can help.

I have a two wheel-like objects, A and B, travelling fast, snaking towards the camera using the dolly moving quickly backwards. Object A starts in front of B but over time B catches A and overtakes swerving across it. Is it possible to change object B’s layer to ‘bring to front’ half way through a sequence.

I trust that’s clear. Thanks in advance. Joel

I know of no way to change the layer position, but if you’re using a camera you’re in 3D space and can have whichever element you want “on top” of (closer to the camera) the other.

The camera is better, but if you have built everything and want to make it work with what you have. There is a Split option that will split your layer or rather cut it. Then you can move the one part on top at the frame where it needs to be on top and then have the other half of the layer on the bottom when it needs to be below.
