  • Bring MXF file from Managed media folder into bin in project window

    Hi

I’m new to MC and cannot figure out how to bring an MXF file into a bin in an existing project bin.
I did the delete function and removed the file but would now like to place that file back in it’s bin. It is residing in the Managed Media Folder on my Video drive, I just can’t figure out how to get the file from the Manged Media Folder into the bin.
When I try to import the file I get an error message that says refer to documentation. I can’t find it in the documentation.
    I know it’s my error.
    Please help

Difficult to tell what you are getting at. In Avid, there is a Master Clip (which resides in the bin) and a Media File (which resides in the Avid Media files folder). Did you delete the master clip from the bin, but not the media file? If so, you can open up the media tool and search for master clips on the drive which the media file resides. This should bring up the master clip and you can then drag it into a bin.

You cannot import the mxf files directly. Although you can import the mdb file that resides them and this will acutally import all the media files in that folder as master clips.
