Brightness level when Exporting to Web
I am wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for limiting the amount of brightness lost when exporting to a web file.
I am exporting to WMV9 using quicktime conversion and a Pop-Wire export component. I know that the quality is severely diminished with heavy compression, but given this, I think the image looks excessively dark. I should mention I am working off of a timeline set up for uncompressed betasp through an aja io box. I’ve heard there may be problems with color/levels when exporting a compressed file from a non-DV FCP timeline.
Does anyone have any insight on this problem?

You should see no difference on a mac, but when viewing on windows, their gamma is significantly different. Usually a change from 1 to 1.3 works. Split the difference. It’ll look a little constrasty on windows, but a little light on mac.
Windows users with lcds seem to have less of this problem.
