I’ve got a video captured with PPro 1.5 in video track 1. I then have another video of just some text graphics. Mostly 4 words at the bttom of the screen. I rendered them out in after effects with an alpha channel animation compression. When I add it to video track 2, where you can see through to video track 1 (which is most of the picture) the picture is brighter than what it is without the new video ver it. If you toggle video track 2 on/off, you can clearly see the brightness increasing with the track on. Is there a specific way PPro 1.5 handles alpha channels? Is there a certain format/codec that works best with PPro 1.5?

    Cheers,
    D.

Exporting from AE an Animation Millions of Colors Plus..overlay video in Pro…all works fine for me (OHCI). Is your setup using a Matrox/Conopus card?

    No, a decklink card.

Suspect Decklink card is the problem.

Don’t think it’s the card. Am now thinking it’s the black magic codec I’m using. I’ve got it to work with a different variety of the codec! Alls good now.
