    Hi there,

I (somewhat unfortunately) shot a video and lit up the subject from behind with a window.

I am looking for a tutorial on how to easily lighten up the subject, while darkening or blending the background.

I have the basics down, give or take, (I’ve isolated the subject with the rotobrush, and added some highlights to the subject) but I’m a little lost on the step of transferring the rotobrushed layer properly onto the background, etc. (I’m pretty new to After Effects!)

Is there a good online tutorial I could watch? I feel like my problem is a simple one, and I’m just missing the obvious final two or three steps here.

I’ve watched and read a bunch of stuff, and it’s either too advanced or not what I’m trying to do.
