I’ve been trying and trying to upload videos to Brightcove after exporting in Final Cut.

However, once uploaded to Brightcove, the quality is terrible.

Have tried changing Export settings but nothing seems to work.

Is there anybody out there who could provide some advice on what the best export settings are?

    Kind regards

    Simon

Simon, first all the internet contents distribution sites are low image quality. Second, check there prefered specs. Third, what is the original. Remember the old axiom “Garbage in; garbage out”

    Hi

These are the specs that I am using:

    1) Video:
    COmpression: h.264
    Quality: best
    Key Frames: 15
    Frame Rate 30
Data rate restrict to : 2132bts/sec
    Deinterlaced

    2) Audio
    INteger
    44.1 Khz
    Sample Size: 16bit
    Channels: mono

But when I upload to Brightcove the quality becomes pixelated.

You can check out some vids here:

    Cheers

Go to the Brightcove website and look for there recomended specs. Follow them. Look for Philip Hodgets article on web distribution. Dude, its going to look pixelated to some degree. It is not the highest quality.

[Scott Davis] “Dude, its going to look pixelated to some degree.”

Okay, that’s it, I’ve reached my tolerance level.

I think the word “dude” should be permenantly stricken from the English language, and from this point forward I’m hoping (and lobbying for) all Cow-dudes to forever cease using the term “dude,” unless of course it refers to a Cow-dude or perhaps a dude ranch or some other legitimate use of the word.

Scott, you’re on notice… The word police will be at your door next time you use it in print, and if you even think of using it the thought police will swiftly come a knockin. :} :] 🙂

Fine. They will have to pry “dude” from my cold, dead lips.

The cops can also take “Fanboy” and any reference to “Drinking Coolaid” while they’re at it.

I grow so tired of hearing those terms.
