    Hi,

I’m in the process of capturing all my DV tapes to hard drives and organize it with tags etc. to easily find what I’m looking for.

Is Adobe Bridge the best solution for cataloging all my video clips?

I’ve tried Adobe Bridge CS3 and have both good and bad things to say about it, so I wonder if there are alternatives. What I want to be able to do is:

    * only see video (both AVI and mpeg-2), not photos (as I use Adobe Lightroom for photos). Bridge can’t play mpeg-2, right?
    * easily see the length of clips
    * easily see the date and time when the clip was recorded (not when captured to the hard drive)
    * easily tag a clip, same way as in Lightroom for photos (can Bridge actually do this for video?)
    * easily search for tags/keywords (as well as tape name and clip name)

Is Premiere best to first capture the video (choosing tape name and clip name) and then Bridge for tagging and searching?

    Grateful for advice.

    Thanks!

    /Daniel
