Brick wall limiting fcp plugin??
Posted by Matt Pascale on May 7, 2010 at 4:56 pmAfter discussing hot audio with a friend he mentioned a plugin he has called Finis from a company called elemental i think.. He swears by it… Unfortunately it seems like it is no longer available.
Does anyone know where i could get my hands on this or if there is a comparable plugin… the fcp compressor/limiter isn’t cutting it
Thanks

May 7, 2010 at 5:53 pmThanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the rndigital website only has a message from Roger Nichols alluding to going out of business dated from 2008…
I emailed info@rndigital.com as well as roger@rogernichols.com a few days ago with no reply.
i did find a shady site that sells oem software that says they have it for $17, but it doesn’t look trustworthy…

May 7, 2010 at 6:29 pmThat’s too bad–I didn’t realize they were out of business. I really like Finis. Another one to try is Final Plug 5 from Wave Arts.

May 7, 2010 at 7:34 pmI just found where I emailed RNDigital last fall for a new authorization code. They replied, so they were still around then. The web site was RNDigitalLabs.com

May 7, 2010 at 7:49 pmThanks Drew,
RNDigitalLabs.com looks like it goes to a generic site with audio software ads… under the link “why am i seeing this as under construction” in the upper right corner the following:“This “Under Construction” page is an automatically generated placeholder Web page for a domain that is not yet attached to an active Web site. This page replaces the “Not Found” error pages and notifies visitors that a Web site is coming soon.”
Looks like rndigital is definitely not around at the moment.. I downloaded the demo of Final plug 5 and it seems like what im looking for. I’ll test it out a bit more though…
Thanks for all your help!

October 21, 2010 at 8:43 pmI didn’t like the idea of shelling out $125
so i searched around and found this site which has some old but free plugins that will do the job.
make sure to download the AU plugins, and installation is real simple
