  Breakups during HDV firewire transfer

  Hi,

  I recently bought a Sony Z5 camera and am experiencing an annoying problem:

  I digitize to FCP (on my Mac Pro tower) via a firewire cable in HDV setting, however the footage tends to break up every 2 or 3 minutes making me lose at least 2 secs of footage each time and filling in my folder with loads of small pieces. I used to transfer from a Sony PD170 and never had breakups…

  Help!
