Breakout boxes for use with Sony Vegas 8 Platinum
I was wondering. What analog video breakout boxes are there for use with Sony Vegas? I have version 8 Platinum. What I’d like to do is be able to output preview video onto an external TV monitor (and also record it straight to VHS), and also have the ability to capture analog footage from VHS.
I’ve seen the Pyro A/V unit, not sure if that’s compatible or if there’s a better solution for what I’m looking to do.

The Pyro should work fine. Others include the Canopus ADVC series. If you do a search here, a few others are listed as well.
