My apologies in advance if this has been covered several times already. I did a couple of searches but couldn’t find anything.

I have several files I’d like to backup to disk. Disk is 4.7 GB but some of the individual m2t files are bigger than 4.7 GB so I can’t save them. I tried going into vegas and just putting a break in the middle of the file and doing a “save as” and “Copy media with project” but that didn’t work.

I tried actually putting a time separation in between the separated clips and “save as” Copy media…” again but that didn’t work either.

    Suggestions?

You could use a backup program which will backup files over multiple discs or you could use bigger discs. You could also try using a program like Womble that will allow you to split the file without re-encoding.
