  break animated character in cinema 4d

  Hi there,
  I wonder is there any way to break apart animated character? Like a man tying to kill other one,ummmm say stone character and that stone character breaks into pieces. Like shown in tomb riader1, or like blade movie where character turns into cracker type effect. I have googled so much and found same tutorial and videos under thinking particle/volume breker on animated character search. Is that also possible in cinema 4d? If yes can anybody plz show me way?
