March 17, 2008 at 6:21 pmThanks for the tip. I’ll definitely do that from now on.
But I don’t understand how that would affect the footage on a P2 card that’s been formatted and not yet connected to a computer. Does importing directly off a P2 in FCP permanently ruin an HVX’s P2 mechanism?

March 17, 2008 at 6:36 pmI just checked my camera’s firmware version. It’s v4.06-00-0.00, the same as the most current version. Guess that’s not the problem. :/

No, it’s a bug with Macs. Don’t really know why. It happens sometimes and not all the time.
Do you still have the cards backed up?

March 17, 2008 at 7:32 pmWell, I guess what’s confusing me is that everything I try to record to any of my P2 cards now looks like this, regardless of whether or not it has been connected to a computer after being formatted.

If you play the card in camera it looks like this? Time to take it in.

March 17, 2008 at 7:50 pmAh, that’s what I thought, Jeremy. Well, since we’ve only had the camera for about 4 days, I’m sure we can just return it and get a new one.
Quite a bummer, though, overall.
Thanks for your help everyone!
