BPAV to Prores422 data size
Hello there,
Excuse this possibly quite newbie question.
I am dealing with 2tb of BPAV footage (MPEG2 HDLONG 35mbps). I need to consider what the storage space implications are when converting to prores422. Is there a calculation I could use to estimate how much space this will take up?
Is there an online resource that would help me calculate issues like this in future?
I have had a look around and found nothing as of yet.
I have started work on a documentary and need to advise my boss on what the best course of action is with regards to approaching the edit with all of this data.
You help would be much appreciated.

Keep in mind you are going from 35 Mbps to roughly 220 Mbps so the storage requirements will be around 6.3x the capacity your EX footage requires.
