  • Bounced audio unsync with original sequence…

    Hi,

I’ve been working on a short film.
Having the audio been mixed by the mixing guy,
I get the mixed audio bounced from Protools.

Then I import to FCP and find the audio is out of sync.
But what weird is that the length is the same and the waveform looks sync to video!

then I did one more try:
export the video, and put it in After effects together with the bounced audio. Exported few formats and all are fine and sync!

Did I mess up with my FCP settings?
I’m using brand new 27″ iMac with FCP7.
    thanks!

Jeremy Garchow came up with a workflow that might help: First, delete the new mix out of FCP and your timeline. Set FCP up in a 23.98 or 29.97 easy setup (whichever applies), then quit FCP. Now reopen FCP and reimport your new mix. The file should be in sync.
