  Boujou data to Cinema 4d export to After Effects

  I was wondering if anyone has tried this ? I have my boujou camera data which i brought in to Cinema, which works fine. I have also exported cameras from Cinema to AE several times and have never had a problem. However when I render out the scene and save the .aec file, and try to open it in AE, nothing happends. Is there a workaround or am I missing a step ?
