Borris FX not linked to videos after rebuild of system and new install of apps
Recently my c: drive crashed. Yes I had it backed up but due to various issues decided to do a clean install of all my software including Vegas 11 and Boris Continuum 7.0 effects package. After successfully installing all my apps, I opened up a recent project file and noted that everyone of my video tracks had lost its Borris FX. I had to re-apply each effect back to each track.
This a fairly recent project that had a limited number of FX but if FX disappear when projects are moveed to a new PC, this is pretty scary.
I probably should add that the effects were added in the project window to the entire video track and not to each event. The sony FX I had applied to the events seemed to stick with no problem.
One other thought… these effects were also added via filter packages instead of individually. If I did not recreate my filter package with the same name, would it lose the effects? I was thinking filter packages would provide the default FX and then never be used again. Could it be that when a project is opened, the filter FX package is used to determine what FX to apply? If the filter package goes away then your FX go away also without even an error message?
Has anyone else had this happen?
