  BorisFX with Vegas Pan&Crop

  I was about to report this to Sony but thought I would run it by the collective wisdom of this group.

  I have Vegas 6b and BorisFX 8 & Grafiti 4.

  The problem: Vegas Pan & Crop doesn’t work on any clip that has had a Boris motion filter used on it. The P&C window comes up and you can exercise the tools in P&C tab, but the result is not applied to the clip. In fact, sometimes trying to use P&C causes Vegas to close with exception error.

  Example1: When I use any the motion stabilizing filter in FX the end result will be a clip that has black borders bouncing in and out of view. I try to Pan in so that they are outside of the viewing area. The result is that the clip remains the same in the preview window and eventually Vegas exceptions.

  Example2: When I use Character motion such as “Type On” in Graphiti I tend to not worry about the positioning of the text, thinking that P&C would allow me to size and position the typed text. Nope, same behavior as in example 1.

  Using transitions or other Vegas FX like Borders or Light Rays on the clips seems to work fine, it is just P&C exhibiting this problem.

  Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
