    How do!

Does anybody out there know of or have heard of a Boris effect that can make your video image look like it was originally shot on VHS? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Hulk

    Hi,

Can you describe what this effect would look like? I know you said that you wanted to make the clip appear as though it originated on VHS but it’s a little unclear to me exactly what this would look like. If you can send more information I’ll gladly take a look and see if there is something in our toolbox that will generate this look.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

Basically our editor has got a ‘clean’ shot that he would like to make it look like it has come from a used VHS. So am thinking bleeding of picture colour, sash marks coming across screen, that sort of thing.

I just popped into the edit to ask specifically what he was after but he was busy on another sequence. If you find anything please do let me know and many thanks for getting in touch.

    Regards,
    Mos

Have you tried the BCC Damaged TV filter? There are a myriad of features within this filter that with the right combination might provide the look that you are searching for.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi Alan,

Sorry, my mistake, I meant to write that you can do this within BorisFX 9 using the included BCC Film Damage filter.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
