I have Boris Red 2.0 running on a Mac with Media 100i (version 7.5.1) with two computer screens and one external broadcast(preview) monitor.

I can see Boris Red 2.0 on the preview monitor if I open Boris Red 2.0 through Media100. However, how do I see Boris Red 2.0 on the preview monitor if I open it as a standalone engine?

The the first three options on the Preview Menu are greyed out.

    Thanks very much,
    Mike

    Hi,

You should be able to have a video feed from RED to the broadcast field monitor via the firewire out option. Open up the preferences pane (Edit>Preferences) and go to the preview tab. Then set the External Monitor Output to Firewire. Then close the preferences pane and select Preview>Connect to External Monitor and you should be all set.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
