Boris Red Skew
Posted by Djd514 on October 10, 2005 at 4:33 pmNeeded to do a sideways scroll (crawl) and needed to skew it so it’s larger at the left and smaller at the right, to create more of a 3 dimensional feel. How do I do this in Red?

October 10, 2005 at 6:05 pmYou didn’t mention how the text is suppose to read? SO maybe rotating the layer would work.
But for the ‘scew’- spining the image about 50 degrees a good placement of the layer will give you that look. Playing with the Z-space will also add to it.
Good Luck,

October 10, 2005 at 7:03 pmI need to change the perspective on this. The text is scrolling from right to left, ala a stock ticker.
I need to angle the text to give it more depth. Sort of corner pinning it.

October 10, 2005 at 9:19 pmWhew,
I wanted to double check to see if I could do it before I posted it.
Create your crawl on it’s own comp, flat NO spin, NO rotate, No etc (you can adjust y position if you want it lower/higher). Then create a new comp, drag comp #1 then spin, rotate, etc.
For some reason, it doesn’t work the same when you pre-comp and do the same thing.
You should be good to go.Good Luck,
