We have a new G5 with Tiger and Final Cut Studio installed. We purchased the Red/Continuum Complete package with the system. Boris Red titling seems to work OK with FCP 5 but the Red transition doesn’t work at all. Has anyone successfully used Red 3.02 with FCP 5? Is there any update coming for Red now that Tiger is out?

There is a little clitch where you have to have your cti in your timeline over the transition when you try to launch red from the viewer window. If the cti is anywhere else on the timeline, clicking the red banner will not allow red to launch.

That did the trick. I never use the Boris transitions so I was troubleshooting the problem for another editor. I use Boris Red all the time for titling and other effects but not for transitions. You can open the Red control panel for the other items without parking the playhead over the clip on the timeline. Thanks for the help.
