Boris Red not showing in FCP
Just installed Boris red 4 on intel mac. There is no filter selection for it. I can export/import movies to red engine. but i’d rather work from the filter tab. And Yes I held the Caps lock down the first time I launched.
please advise. -

Because the current release of RED 4 is not a Universal Binary application, it will not appear as a filter in FCP on a MacIntel machine. Yes, you can use it standalone operation but as you mentioned, you want to use this as a filter within FCP. We are currently finishing and testing the code for the Universal Binary version and expect to be able to make that available quite soon … certainly before the end of the year. This will be a free upgrade for RED 4 users.
