Boris Red Firewire Preview to Monitor – PAL (PC)
Are there any Red, PC, PAL users out there?
I am trying (without success) to get the stand-alone engine to preview out via firewire to a PAL monitor. I have contacted Boris support, but I think they’ve run out of ideas. I have unistalled/reinstalled Red, tried it on three different machines – no luck.
After Effects previews out via firewire just fine, so I’m assuming this is a Red issue.
I do know that I need to set the Preview preferences etc.
This is driving me nuts.

Yes!
I tried to get a firewire preview on a PC running PAL with Boris Red. It doesn’t work, and, according to BorisFX, it will not work because it isn’t properly implemented in the current software. I can get a still – sometimes – but it doesn’t work properly. I would love to be able to get a preview out to an interlaced TV monitor. Maybe in a later version…
