  Boris RED (Avid FX) problems!

  We recently upgraded to the new versions of Mac OS X (Tiger) and Avid Xpress Pro (4.8). Beacuse the version of Boris Red we had would not work with the Tiger OS, we waited, patiently, for the Boris upgrade that would. It came…we installed…and not surprisingly, there are problems. Whenever we apply either a Avid FX or Boris Red transition and render it, the video seems to shift and stretch (as if it’s being scaled…even when rendering in green dot mode). Is anyone else experiencing this? We’ve contacted Boris and they’re blaming Avid. The Avid forums have no real solutions. ANy ideas? ANy “quick” fixes? Or should we let the respective companies hash it out?

  Any help would be great!

  We run Avid Xpress Pro 4.8.1 on a Mac G4 running OS X Tiger.
