Boris Red and rendering with an alpha channel
Hello everyone, it’s nice to be part in this forum with so many fellow videomakers !
I’m working since 6 months on a long feature-lenght documentary. It’s about a trip in Philippines with 7 peoples. Also, it will be shown in theatres next fall. I’m alone in this project and I did a lot of work on my own learning my NLE: Sony Vegas Pro 10 and Boris Red, which I bought for almost a thousand box.
Here is my problem:
I did a animation in Boris RED involving a map of the Philippines created in Illustrator. It’s suppose to help the viewer to know where am I in the country at any part of the film. This pictures that I animate in RED has an Alpha Channel.
I do not know which rendering settings is the best as I’m willing to export the animation in RED and import after in Sony Vegas Pro. I need to keep the alpha channel in all the process.
I bought the Cineform Neoscene and the last codec from Cineform. But does it keep the alpha channel ? I don’t know….
I wish we could find together the right issue to fix my work.
I’m so involved personaly in this project that I wish strongly that someone could put me in the right way.
Thank you
Steve
